Impact VSTi Outputs Direct to Audio Tracks

This video falls under a few categories. It shows how to create independent outs for each pad in Impact and record them directly to armed audio tracks for recording without needing to record midi data.

okay for simplicity sake, I went to impact. picked out a drum kit, just wanted to do a simple kick and snare thing to use on my midi controller.
As long as I had "Record" turned on in the impact track I could hear and see levels for the drum kit. But could not duplicate what you said in video.
So do I have to actually record a drum track, save it to impact and then import?
I'll watch this again but so far nothing in the tutorial worked in S1 for me. Just baffled not complaining.
I actually wanted to do something a bit more sophisticated and arrange an entire drum track (patterns and fills) first in MKPower Kit, than use the process above to record directly to audio hopefully to sav a lot of CPU Ram that as you know I've been having problems with due to my laptop. Suggestions welcome.
Thanks Johnny, if I can get this to work it will be a game changer for me.
